In addition to operating the Basingstoke and Winchester DAB multiplexes, UK DAB Networks is also involved in a number of ventures to apply for upcoming Ofcom licenced DAB multiplexes. West Sussex Digital Ltd has been recently formed by UK DAB Networks, Southdown Media, Chichester Hospital Radio, Duncan Barkes and Steve Freegard to apply to Ofcom for a small scale DAB multiplex to cover South West Sussex. If you are interested in placing your station on our application, please get in touch ASAP.
Licenced to Angel Radio Ltd, and operated on their behalf by UK DAB Networks, the Portsmouth DAB multiplex launched in 2015 initially on a nine month temporary licence which has subsequently been extended by Ofcom on a number of occasions. In March 2023 Ofcom announced their intention to advertise a full term licence for the Portsmouth area, and it is our intention to work with Angel Radio to apply for the licence.
